  1. I have never even thought about prepping until I read your article Top Ten Natural Disasters of the last fifty years. I guess I always trusted the government to do the right thing, but reading this stark article makes me realize that they don’t. I was out of the States when hurricane Katrina hit and I didn’t realize that a debacle that was.
    Given that Florida has just been hit by two major back to back hurricanes it has made me question more. As you so rightly say if Katrina had hit Florida and not a poor black area then things might have been different.
    I don;t know that I will become a full time prepper but it does make sense to have extra food and water even if I don’t have a bug out bag.

Governments are run by politicians and politicians are elected and the only thing an elected politician cares about is getting reelected. You only have to look at the world to see that, it is shameful the legacies politicians have left their grandchildren
